Based on the new GMO labeling marketing campaign Label It Just!, 92 % of Americans want to know whether or not the foods they buy contain GMOs, particularly when these foods are getting fed to young children. For this reason Just Label It! has created an online petition resolved to FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg that urges the company to operate for food transparency, and label GMOs. Up to now, more than 1.1 million people have signed this petition since it was first created just a few brief months ago, and Label It Just! is now aiming to reach 1.2 million signatures as part of its next campaign goal.These are the most severe of the worst, the young kids that any reasonable doctor would say ‘yes, that is abuse.’ While the true numbers are a small %age of the hurt children seen at VCH, they represent a very vulnerable band of children. Additionally, there are a lot of neglected children noticed at VCH and Greeley is certainly starting to get a feeling of them aswell. ‘About two-thirds of all child abuse is neglect. We at VCH see a large numbers of child neglect as well, but they appear to fly below the radar,’ Greeley said. ‘This database is the first step in getting a real handle of the scope of the issue seen here at VCH.’ Greeley says his database is not component of a formal research study.
